Did You Noticed?
Whenever I see mothers and daughters who are close, laughing together and talking like best friends, I can’t help but feel a little envious. It’s a quiet kind of envy and the kind you keep to yourself while wondering what that kind of relationship must feel like.
Mum, you once told me that there are people whose parents don’t care about them, and that I should be grateful because you and Dad care about me.
Dad does care. That much I know.
But my question to you is do you care?
When I was injured, did you notice?
When I was badly sick, did you notice?
When my body was so weak that I almost fainted, did you notice?
Or were you too busy to see it?
What hurts the most is that other people noticed. People who aren’t even my parents saw that something was wrong.
So sometimes I wonder how could everyone else see it, but you couldn’t?

Very heartfelt! I was abandoned by my mother at a young age, so I don't feel the lack of motherly love and I look in awe at the people who have it
Having a troubled relationship with your mother is the hardest thing to go through!
